WebFound a mod that kind of does the job. It moves the route advisor up near the roof of the cab and out of the way. Now when in vr I just look up to see route info. It's not exactly what I was looking for but it works and doesn't break when I switch to vr. It's a Google drive link but I'll also post where I found it.
