Beer Braised Bear is easy to make and bear meat is plentiful on merchants if you bother to look in EC and other 'bear-heavy' spots like Misty Thicket. I had assumed it was in preparation to add an expansion off of it. That never happened. When they revamped it, they did not change how the zone spawns work.
